Kaye ValProbe® RM (Real‑Time Monitoring) is a system built around advanced wireless data loggers, specifically engineered to meet the monitoring and regulatory requirements of pharmaceutical and biotech environments. As real‑time communication technologies evolve, Kaye has leveraged the latest RF innovation and battery efficiency to deliver a robust environmental and facility monitoring system that ensures consistent accuracy, repeatability, and reliability.

At the core of the platform are high‑performance wireless data loggers featuring a compact base unit that supports two digital sensors. This design enables flexible measurement configurations within a single rugged device. For operations that do not require a display interface, the ValProbe RM‑B provides a cost‑effective option while maintaining the same level of performance expected from advanced wireless data loggers

RF Specifications

The ValProbe RM solution operates on a 2.4 GHz platform and utilizes a proprietary dual‑antenna architecture to create a scalable star network. Each base station connects to up to 50 wireless data loggers, delivering approximately 900 ft (300 m) line‑of‑sight coverage. Actual performance may vary depending on environmental conditions such as structural barriers or RF interference.

This architecture enables seamless scalability of the environmental and facility monitoring system, allowing multiple base stations to be networked via Ethernet and integrated with LabWatch IoT through industry‑standard protocols. Each logger also incorporates local buffering, ensuring no data loss during temporary connectivity disruptions.

Data Redundancy

Each ValProbe RM unit is designed to support continuous monitoring through resilient data management. The onboard memory of these wireless data loggers stores up to 100,000 samples per sensor, equating to approximately 10 weeks of data at one‑minute intervals. This ensures uninterrupted data capture even during network outages.

When operating on external power, the system automatically transitions to battery mode during power failures, preserving operational continuity. Additionally, the gateway stores up to 30 days of data locally, reinforcing the reliability of the broader environmental and facility monitoring system. Once connectivity is restored, all data is synchronized to the cloud for centralized storage and analysis.

Data Security

Data integrity remains a core priority within the ValProbe RM ecosystem. All data transmitted by the wireless data loggers is encrypted both in transit and at rest using industry‑recognized standards. The system incorporates tamper‑evident and tamper‑resistant mechanisms to safeguard sensitive information.

Advanced authentication protocols, secure key management, and configurable user access controls ensure that only authorized personnel can interact with the system. Comprehensive audit trails with time‑stamped records support compliance with GxP requirements, reinforcing the platform’s position as a dependable environmental and facility monitoring system.

Flexible Digital Sensors

Kaye ValProbe RM loggers provide two ports for attaching Digital Sensor Modules. These digital sensors measure parameters such as temperature and humidity and convert readings into digital signals for greater precision and reduced susceptibility to interference.

Each sensor module stores its own calibration data, enabling seamless replacement without interrupting monitoring activities. The system automatically detects sensor changes and prompts eSignature verification, supporting GxP-compliance and traceability.

Used sensors can be returned for recalibration at our ISO/IEC 17025‑accredited service centres to maintain long‑term accuracy and compliance standards expected from modern wireless data loggers.
