For extreme applications where the fluid is erosive or corrosive to gauge glass, shields may be incorporated. The most common shields used in these applications are Mica and PCTFE (Kel-F®).
Mica shields or shields made with PCTFE (Kel-F®) protect glass in extreme applications where fluid is erosive or corrosive.
