dBMACH3 & dB3
dBMACH3 being the first ultrasonic transducer with zero effective blanking distance
The dBMACH3 and the dB3 with Double Sun Shield are the same trustworthy dB Transducers our customers know and love. However, these transducers have been specifically designed for flow measurement - with the dBMACH3 being the first ultrasonic transducer with zero effective blanking distance. The dB3 with Double Sun Shields adds some extrasolar radiation protection to the transducer to ensure that the internal temperature can be utilized, ensuring that measurement is as accurate and reliable as possible.
dBMACH3 High Accuracy Open Channel Flow Transducer
Featuring unique sun and submergence shields, the dBMACH3 is designed specifically for open channel flow applications. dBMACH3 is the first ultrasonic transducer with zero effective blanking distance beyond the nose cone, allowing it to be sited as little as a few millimeters from the high-flow level. One of the critical factors affecting the ultrasonic accuracy is the measurement distance, so by minimizing the distance, accuracy is maximized.
Operating at 125 kHz frequency the transducer provides high resolution and accuracy. Essential in open channel flow applications. The dBMACH3 can be used with the Ultra 4, 5, and TWIN when in open channel flow mode, or can be paired with the FlowCERT, all of which provide a typical accuracy of +/- 1 mm (0.039in). Resolution +/- 0.5 mm (0.019 in). Range 0 mm to 2.4 m (0 in to 7.9 ft).
dB3 with Double Sun Shields MCERTS Certified
When combined with the Ultra 4 controller, the dB3 with double sun shields has achieved MCERTS Class 1 Certification with 0.136% combined accuracy. This means the pair have been independently tested and performed well under rigorous conditions. Utilities across the globe can now be confident that their flow measurement is of the highest possible accuracy by using MCERTS certified equipment.
